Charlene Tarver is the principal and managing member of the Tarver Consulting Group.  With more than 20+ years of tax, business, and legal experience, Charlene launched The Women’s Economic Institute in 2017 and in 2021 she began The Southside Renaissance Project (SRP).  SRP is a $32M+ mixed-use micro-community offering senior rental housing, daycare, broadband access, and a public facing food hall and retail incubator in her hometown of Syracuse, NY. 

Charlene also leads a 6,600SF incubator on the city's near-westside where she shares her passion by helping other BIPOC women entrepreneurs, opportunity youth, women returning to work, and emerging land developers. 

Charlene's work positions her to help others pursue their passion for entrepreneurial-led economic development through urban design, renewal, and community land development.
